The Coffee Dial-In Logbook

The Coffee Dial-In Logbook is a printable PDF built for the part of brewing that a website can't quite replace: writing down what you actually did and what it actually tasted like, so the next cup improves on the last one instead of repeating the same mistake by accident.

What's inside

A dial-in worksheet for each of the 18 methods on this site, with fields for dose, water, grind setting, time and temperature alongside a simple sour-to-bitter taste scale — fill one out each time you brew a new bag of beans until it tastes right, and you have a written record of exactly what changed between attempt one and the one that worked. A ratio quick-reference card, formatted to sit next to your kettle or pin to a cupboard, with every method's light, balanced and strong ratio in one place rather than needing a phone open on the counter. A tasting log, structured around the same vocabulary the tasting guide covers — acidity, body, sweetness, aftertaste — so you build a written record of which origins and roasts you've actually preferred over time, rather than relying on memory. And a grind and temperature cheat sheet mapping each method to its typical window, printable small enough to tape inside a cupboard door.

Why a PDF instead of another app

An app needs a phone in your hand while your hands are covered in coffee grounds and wet from rinsing a filter. A printed sheet next to the kettle doesn't. This is intentionally a print-and-use product, not a subscription, not an account, and not something that needs syncing or an internet connection at 6am.

Who this is actually for

If you're happy checking the ratio pages on your phone every time you brew, you probably don't need this. It's built for people who brew often enough that writing things down genuinely changes the outcome — someone working through a new bag of beans over a week of mornings, or someone who wants one physical reference taped up rather than five browser tabs open on a counter that's about to get wet. It also makes a genuinely useful small gift for anyone who already owns a dripper or a press and has started asking questions about why their coffee tastes different from one morning to the next — printed and handed over, or emailed directly to them at checkout instead of to yourself — just use their email address rather than your own when Stripe asks where to send it, and consider letting them know a PDF is on its way so it doesn't land in a spam folder unexplained and get missed entirely.

How delivery works

Payment is handled by Stripe. Fulfilment is manual — the PDF is emailed by hand to the address you provide at checkout, usually within a few hours and always within 24. There's no download link that expires and no account to lose access to; it's your file once it's sent, to print as many times as you actually go through worksheets, on any printer you already own, at home or at a copy shop.
