The content is general reference material

Every ratio, method guide, fix and bean topic on this site reflects general reference information about coffee brewing — a starting point for your own brewing, not a guaranteed outcome. Coffee, water, equipment and personal taste all vary, and no ratio or technique on this site can promise a specific result for your specific setup.

The tools compute locally and store nothing

The ratio calculator, dial-in troubleshooter, brew timer and caffeine estimator all run entirely in your browser. No input you type into any of them is sent to a server or stored anywhere.

Caffeine information is not medical advice

The caffeine estimator and any caffeine figures elsewhere on this site are general information about typical ranges, not a measurement of any specific cup and not medical, dosing or health guidance of any kind. If caffeine intake is a medical concern for you, consult a doctor or pharmacist rather than relying on this site.

Affiliate links and monetization

Some links on this site may be affiliate links, meaning a purchase made through them may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you, always disclosed plainly on the page it appears on. Paid products and contributions are processed by Stripe under its own terms.

No warranty

This site is provided as-is, without any warranty that the content, ratios or tools are free of errors. Reasonable care goes into checking every figure against the reasoning on the methodology page, but brewing coffee remains, in the end, a matter of taste.

Changes

These terms may be updated as the site changes; the current version is always the one displayed on this page.

Third-party services

This site relies on third-party services — Stripe for payments, Brevo for the newsletter, Formspree for the contact form, and Google Analytics and Vercel for analytics — each governed by its own terms in addition to these.

Refunds

Digital product purchases (the dial-in logbook) are fulfilled by hand shortly after payment; if it hasn't arrived within the promised window, contact us before requesting a refund and it will almost always be resolved by simply sending the file. Contributions are, by their nature, not refundable.

Acceptable use

The content, ratios and calculators on this site are provided for personal use in brewing your own coffee. Reasonable linking to and quoting of this site's pages, with attribution, is welcome; wholesale republishing of the content elsewhere without permission is not.
